Meet Our Team
Steph MacLean
Health and Wellness Manager
Steph, born and raised in Cardigan, Prince Edward Island is a graduate of UPEI where she earned a degree in Applied Human Sciences and minor in Nutrition. Growing up, she knew she wanted to work in a field where helping people to live a healthier, happier life was top priority. She has always led an active lifestyle herself but her passion for helping others in the fitness community has grown wildly over the past few years.
When asked she said, "my goal has always been to make a positive, lasting impact in the community and surrounding areas, and I hope to continue to do so with TCAP." To help her achieve this goal, she has become a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, taken many workshops and is continually expanding her education. One of her duties as part of the TCAP team is to identify areas of need in the community and work together with her qualified staff to offer great classes and programs that target those needs.

Susan Walsh
Kettlebell InstructorSusan Walsh lives in Burnt Point with her husband John.
She moved from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia to PEI in 1986 after graduating with her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Dalhousie University. After raising her family, she returned to the work force and is currently a librarian here in Eastern PEI. She also runs Studio K, a kettlebell studio out of her home in Burnt Point. Her love affair with kettlebells started in 2008. She and seven others were the first to practice kettlebells east of Montreal under the leadership of Wendy Chappell. It was love at first swing. When she isn't under the kettles or between the stacks at the library she loves to spend time with family and friends and is passionate about hiking and travel. |
Sherri Campbell
Spin Instructor
My name is Sherri Campbell and I am an elementary school teacher. I received my B. A. from UPEI, my B. Ed. from UNB and my M. Ed. from Mt. St. Vincent in 2013.
I was born and raised in Cardigan and it is where I live with my two children Tanner and Shaye. I have always enjoyed being physically active and was approached in 2012 to consider taking certification to become a cycle instructor. I have been instructing cycle classes for four years. I was trained with Core Cycling in 2012 and was re-certified in 2015. Cycling has a lot to offer everyone from the beginner to the veteran. Each class varies in terms of the terrain, music and instructor style. Myself personally, I enjoy variety and like to change things up as much as possible while still working to edge the participants to push and challenge themselves each class. I believe a consistent fitness program/ routine is key to being healthy, both mentally and physically. If you haven’t tried cycling come on out and give it a try. It is a great workout! |
Michelle VancolenSpin InstructorMy name is Michelle and I have been a fitness leader in our community for the past 24 years! I am a goal-oriented person who believes strongly in health and wellness. I am an educator with the PEI Public Schools Branch and I live in Montague with my husband and our five children. I broke out into the fitness scene in the early 90’s teaching a variety of classes such as aerobics, step aerobics, and interval group classes. I have had years of training, certifications, and professional development experiences across the Maritimes. My most recent training and personal fitness focus has been with indoor cycling. I was certified as a cycling instructor by Core Cycling in 2011 and recertified in 2014. I believe in leading a consistent healthy lifestyle that is full of balance and moderation. I enjoy helping others aspire to seeing things through different lenses and challenge myself to do the same. Cycling offers you 45 minutes of focusing on YOU and YOUR wellbeing! YOUR strengths and YOUR weaknesses. I don’t believe in challenging your body – I believe in challenging YOUR mind, body, and soul! Get lost in the tunes and witness everything from your day drip away! Take charge of your health and get recharged with indoor cycling! Join the fun!
