FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Do I have to be a member to use the facility?
A: No, you do not have to be a member to use our facility. Day passes are available to purchase at the front desk.
 
Q:  How does a day pass work?
A: A day pass allows you access to the entire facility, all regularly scheduled group fitness classes, the pool, hot tub and sauna. Day passes are good for the entire day, you are able to leave the facility and return later that same day. Simply keep your receipt and show it at the front desk when you return.
 
Q: What does a TCAP membership get me?
A: Your TCAP membership gives you access to all fitness areas, all regularly scheduled group fitness classes, pool, hot tub and sauna. Plus early-bird registration for swim lessons and discounted pop-up group classes and programs!
 
Q: I will be unable to use my membership (travelling, work, medical reasons), can I place it on hold?
A: Yes, you can put your yearly (only) membership on a one-time hold for up to 6 months. This time on hold will be added onto your original contract end date. There is a $20 fee for this service.
 
Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership type?
A: You can certainly upgrade your membership, your current membership (time used) and fees paid will be put towards your upgraded membership.  Memberships can only be cancelled or downgraded for medical reasons or extenuating circumstances (case by case basis)
 
 
Q: Can I make monthly membership payments at the front desk?
A: Initial payment is completed in person at time of registration but all remaining monthly payments are remitted through direct withdrawal only. Please have your banking information with you at time of sign up if you plan to do the monthly payment option.
 
Q: I’m nervous about going to a gym, how will TCAP make me feel comfortable?
A: TCAP is a community centered space that is inclusive and welcoming to everyone. We offer free orientations to make you comfortable and confident using our fitness equipment, there are multiple spaces to work out in, and we have certified personal trainers available to help get you started.
 
Q: Are group fitness classes extra?
A: All our regularly scheduled fitness classes are included in your TCAP membership. Occasionally, we have special pop-up classes that do require a fee but members receive a discount for these classes/programs. Classes that have a fee for members as well are always advertised as such.
 
Q: Is the pool lifeguarded?
A: Most of our swim times are currently unguarded. It is our requirement that parents/guardians are on deck or in the pool (depending on age and skill) to supervise their children at all times. Currently it is mandatory to have a ratio of 1 parent to 2 children (under 7 years old) in the pool. For children ages 7-12 a parent may be required to be in the water for children with little or no experience. For confident swimmers at this age, parents may sit and supervise from the pool deck.
 
Q: Are there lockers available to use in the facility?
A: Yes, we have day use lockers available in the changerooms, you may bring your own lock or purchase one from the TCAP Shop.
